Description

The Streamlight ProTac Rail Mount VIR Pro USB Weapon Light (part 88139) is a dual-spectrum rifle weapon light that pairs high-output white light with an integrated infrared illuminator for night-vision use. It produces 1100 lumens output and 40,000 candela peak beam intensity for a 400-metre beam in white light, plus a 2,300 mW infrared output on high at 940 nm.

This 88139 configuration includes Streamlight's SL-B26 USB rechargeable battery pack and charging cord, and it will also run two CR123A lithium cells. The Jack-Cap tailcap gives push-button operation and a remote pressure switch. White runtimes are 2 hours on high, 3.75 hours on medium and 14 hours on low on the SL-B26; the infrared runs 2 hours on high and 9 hours on low. A head-mounted selector switches between visible and infrared with a safety cut-off that prevents accidental white-light activation in infrared mode. It mounts to Picatinny (MIL-STD-1913) or M-LOK, in 6000-series aircraft aluminium with an anodised finish and a BOROFLOAT lens, rated IPX7.

How It Compares

Prefer the other battery package? The ProTac VIR Pro rifle light and IR illuminator on CR123A cells. Need infrared on a pistol instead? The TLR-VIR II weapon light with IR illuminator and laser. White light only, at long range? The TLR-1 HP-X at 77,000 candela. Read our lumens versus candela chart, or browse the wider range of weapon-mounted lights and our tactical lighting.

great product, great customer service

The purchased product is a Nightforce ATACR 7-35x56. The waiting times were a bit long, as for many other products imported from the USA, and therefore not dependent on Xtreme Tactical who always updated me on the status of the shipment (thank you George). The product has a high cost but adequate to the characteristics of the Nightforce brand, the price paid slightly lower than the Italian one. Nightforce, is always a point of reference in the panorama of high quality optics. Very satisfied, too bad that with Brexit things are getting very complicated for Europeans.
