A red dot sight is the fastest way to get on target with both eyes open — no centring, no parallax, just put the dot where you want the hit. It is the default sighting system for practical and service rifle, practical shotgun and 3-Gun, straight-pull carbines, PCCs, rimfire plinking and airsoft, and it earns its place anywhere the shot is close, moving or unplanned. At Xtreme Tactical we stock red dot sights across all of those platforms, ready for £5 tracked UK delivery.
Shop by platform with our rifle dot sights, shotgun red dot sights and pistol dot sights, or by reticle colour: green dot sights and gold dot sights. For British weather, see our enclosed red dot sights. Want reach? Add a magnifier, or back up a magnified optic with an offset dot. On a rimfire or a straight-pull, see rimfire and .22LR optics and straight-pull rifle optics.
Shop by brand: Holosun, SIG Sauer, Trijicon and Primary Arms. Complete the setup with red dot sight mounts. Working to a budget? We have compared the best red dot sights under £300, all of them in UK stock.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does UK law say about fitting a red dot?
It is the question we are asked most, and it deserves a fuller answer than a paragraph here. We have written it up in licensing for rifle scopes, red dots and torches, with red dot sights and deer stalking and optics on an air rifle covering those cases in detail.
Red dot or green dot?
Both work identically; green is often easier to pick up in bright daylight and for some eyes appears crisper. See our green dot sights to compare.
Open or enclosed emitter?
Open optics are lighter and cheaper; enclosed optics seal the emitter against rain, mud and dust, which counts for a great deal on a British hill in February.
Will there be an import bill?
No — we dispatch from our own UK warehouse. Why buy UK stock instead of importing and our guide to import duty, RFDs and what needs a dealer set out what a US import actually costs once duty, VAT and the handling fee land.
