The Holosun SCS-PDP-GR Green Dot Sight (Solar Charging Sight) is designed to attach directly to the slide without an adapter plate and uses an innovative solar charging system with multi-directional light sensors to automatically adjust brightness in dynamic situations. The SCS can potentially operate indefinitely using an internal, rechargeable 20,000-hour power reserve meaning under even moderate exposure to bright light, you will never need to change batteries again.

A terrific well engineered piece of optical equipment and exceptional value. Crystal clear glass and a sturdy design. Positive windage and elevation turrets. The Zero stop setting was a doddle to use. I replaced a NightForce NXS for it and I reckon the Athlon is a superior scope. My shooting mate tried it and agreed with me. He also owns and shoots a Nightforce but now prefers my Athlon. it was like Christmas when I opened the box. Supplied with flip up lens covers, sunshade, throw lever and 3 spare grub screws for the zero stop setting plate. A nice additional surprise. It came reasonably quickly and was well worth the wait.
