Description

The Area 419 ARCALOCK QD Clamp for Atlas Bipods (stock code ARCALOCK QD Clamp) is a quick-detach ARCA-Swiss rail clamp for no-clamp Atlas bipods. A throw lever replaces the tensioning knob, and Area 419's spring-loaded ARCALOCK locking pins index the clamp into the rail, so the bipod comes off and goes back on in a couple of seconds without losing its position.

Atlas bipods leave the factory on a two-screw Picatinny mount, on an American Defense lever mount, or as an NC "No Clamp" body with no mount fitted. None of them is natively ARCA, so on an ARCA-railed chassis or forend a clamp like this one is what joins the two.

How It Compares

This is the lever version: the fastest of the ARCA-only ARCALOCK clamps, at the cost of a little extra height and weight over the knob. If the bipod stays on the rifle, the Area 419 ARCALOCK knob clamp is lighter and lower. To cover ARCA and Picatinny rifles with a single clamp, take the Area 419 ARCALOCK Dual-Clamp with Picatinny or the Really Right Stuff BTC-Pro dual ARCA and Picatinny clamp. For a lever mount from a different maker, see the American Defense ADM QD ARCA rail lever mount. You will need an NC-bodied bipod such as the Atlas BT46-NC PSR from the Atlas bipod range, or start instead with a natively ARCA bipod from the Accu-Tac Arca-Spec range or our wider ARCA bipods.

Ideal For

  • Practical and precision rifle competitors stripping the bipod off between stages
  • F Class and benchrest shooters moving one bipod between several ARCA-railed rifles
  • Deer stalkers who want the bipod off for the stalk and on for the shot
  • Owners of NC "No Clamp" Atlas bipods who want quick-detach ARCA mounting

Frequently Asked Questions

Which bipods does the Area 419 ARCALOCK QD Clamp fit?
The Area 419 ARCALOCK QD Clamp fits NC "No Clamp" Atlas bipods, which are supplied by B&T Industries without a mount so that the buyer can choose their own clamp.

Will the Area 419 ARCALOCK QD Clamp fit a Picatinny rail?
No. The Area 419 ARCALOCK QD Clamp is an ARCA-Swiss clamp only. For Picatinny as well, choose the Area 419 ARCALOCK Dual-Clamp with Picatinny or the Really Right Stuff BTC-Pro.

What is the difference between the QD lever clamp and the knob clamp?
The QD version uses a throw lever, so the bipod can be removed and refitted in seconds without tools, while the knob version is hand-tightened and is lighter and lower on the rifle.

What do the ARCALOCK locking pins do?
The ARCALOCK locking pins are spring-loaded stops that drop into the recesses of an ARCALOCK-compatible rail, giving a positive mechanical lock so the clamp cannot creep along the rail under recoil.

Are Atlas bipods ARCA without a clamp like this?
No. Atlas bipods are supplied with a two-screw Picatinny mount, with an American Defense lever mount, or as an NC "No Clamp" body, so ARCA mounting always comes from a separate clamp such as this one.

great product, great customer service

The purchased product is a Nightforce ATACR 7-35x56. The waiting times were a bit long, as for many other products imported from the USA, and therefore not dependent on Xtreme Tactical who always updated me on the status of the shipment (thank you George). The product has a high cost but adequate to the characteristics of the Nightforce brand, the price paid slightly lower than the Italian one. Nightforce, is always a point of reference in the panorama of high quality optics. Very satisfied, too bad that with Brexit things are getting very complicated for Europeans.
