ARCA Bipods & Clamps

ARCA-Swiss began life as a camera tripod dovetail and has quietly become the standard fitting along the forend of a precision rifle. The appeal is simple: the bipod slides fore and aft to balance the rifle for the position you are actually in, rather than sitting wherever a Picatinny slot happens to allow; it comes off in a second; and the same rail drops the rifle straight onto a tripod head when the hill will not let you go prone.

Being straight about what is here. Every natively Arca-Spec bipod on this page is an Accu-Tac — the BR-4 G2, SR-5 G2, WB-4 and WB-5, PC-4 and PC-5, FC-4 G2 and FC-5 G2, HD-50, LP-50, FD-4 and FD-5, the HT-10 hunting bipod and the HYBA-500 Hydro, all in Arca-Spec QD form. No Atlas bipod in this catalogue is natively ARCA. Every Atlas we hold is two-screw, No Clamp or ADM lever, and ARCA fitment on an Atlas comes from a clamp: the Area 419 ARCALOCK, ARCALOCK QD and ARCALOCK Dual-Clamp, the American Defense ADM QD ARCA rail lever, or the Really Right Stuff BTC-Pro dual ARCA and Picatinny clamp. Those clamps are all on this page.

Running Picatinny instead? See Atlas bipods and the wider rifle bipods range, or bipod accessories for feet, rails and leg extensions. The full Accu-Tac range is here too, F-Class and benchrest models cover the bench, and an Accu-Shot monopod supports the rear of the rifle. Pair it with the right glass via our deer stalking scope guide. All UK stock, with no import fees to pay.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is ARCA-Swiss, and why use it on a rifle?
ARCA-Swiss is a dovetail rail profile that originated on camera tripods. On a rifle it lets the bipod clamp anywhere along the forend instead of only at fixed slots, so you can balance the rifle for the position you are shooting from, and it lets the same rifle mount directly onto a tripod head — which is why it has caught on with hill stalkers and PRS-style shooters alike.

Will an Arca-Spec bipod fit my Picatinny rail?
Not directly — an Arca-Spec clamp grips a dovetail, not a Picatinny rail. If your forend is Picatinny you either want a Picatinny-mount bipod, or an ARCA rail fitted along the forend. The clamps and adapters on this page cover the usual conversions, so check the fitment stated on each listing.

Can I make my Atlas ARCA?
Yes, with a clamp. The Area 419 ARCALOCK clamps replace the Atlas mount, the ADM QD ARCA rail lever does the same job with a quick-detach lever, and the Really Right Stuff BTC-Pro grips both ARCA and Picatinny. The bipod itself does not change.
