The SpecterDR is not a variable scope. It switches between two fixed magnifications with a throw lever — 1x to 4x, or 1.5x to 6x — so you get true 1x for close work and a genuine fixed magnification at the top, with no intermediate settings to get lost in. It is a design with a long service history and it holds zero through the switch. Imported by us, duty paid, and dispatched from the UK.

How does the dual-role switch work?
A lever moves an optical group in and out of the path, changing magnification in one movement. There is no intermediate zoom, and the point of impact is designed to stay the same at both settings.

Is it better than an LPVO?
Different. An LPVO gives you every magnification in between and is usually lighter. The SpecterDR gives you two known settings you can select instantly by feel, which is why it was adopted for service use.

What mount does it need?
The SpecterDR carries its own integral mount for a Picatinny rail, so no rings are required.
