G33 or G45?
The G33 is a 3x magnifier that keeps a wide field of view for general use; the G45 is 5x, which helps positively identify a target further out at the cost of a narrower view.

Do I need the STS mount?
Only if you do not already have one. The STS versions include the quick-detach flip-to-side mount; the No Mount versions are the magnifier body alone.
