The Holosun HM3X 3x Magnifier (HM3X) is a 3x flip-to-side magnifier that sits behind a red dot or holographic sight and extends its useful range. Flipped in it gives 3x magnification for target identification at distance; flipped aside it leaves the dot at 1x for close work.
It ships on a QD flip-to-side mount with a spacer covering absolute and lower-1/3 co-witness heights, has an adjustable dioptre so the picture is sharp for your eye, and has windage and elevation adjustment so the dot can be centred in the magnifier's view. The housing is aluminium, water- and fog-resistant.

Yes. The Holosun HM3X works behind most red dot and holographic sights provided the two are at a matching mount height, and the supplied spacer covers both absolute and lower-1/3 co-witness. Check the dot appears centred in the magnifier's view once both are fitted.
Does the Holosun HM3X have its own reticle?
No. The Holosun HM3X has no reticle of its own — it magnifies whatever your red dot or holographic sight is projecting, so a 2 MOA dot will look three times larger through it.
Should I choose the HM3X or the HM6X?
Choose the HM3X at 3x for general use: it is lighter, shorter and much easier to get behind quickly. Choose the HM6X at 6x only if you regularly shoot far enough to need the extra reach and can accept a tighter eye box.
