Description

The Atlas Bipod BT65 CAL, part number BT65 from B&T Industries, is the standard-height CAL (Cant And Loc) Atlas bipod supplied with the two-screw MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny clamp already fitted. CAL means the cant can be locked off positively, so the rifle stays where you level it on a slope or a barricade.

How It Compares

Mount type is the only difference across the BT65 family: this one is bolted down with the two-screw clamp, the BT65-LW17 CAL with the ADM-170-S quick-detach lever comes on and off in seconds, and the BT65-NC CAL supplied with no clamp takes a 17S-size mount of your own. For more leg length, the Atlas BT69 CAL Tall bipod is the same bipod with longer legs. If you would rather have free panning, look at the Atlas BT10 V8 bipod. All of them are in our Atlas bipod range.

Ideal For

  • Hill stalking and steep ground, where levelling the rifle matters more than panning
  • F-Class, benchrest and target rifle, where a locked position is wanted between shots
  • Long-range and PRS-style shooting off barricades and improvised rests
  • Deer stalking from a high seat or a fixed rest

Frequently Asked Questions

What does CAL stand for on an Atlas bipod?
CAL stands for Cant And Loc, B&T's name for positive, lockable cant control that keeps the rifle level on uneven ground.

Which mount does the Atlas BT65 CAL need?
The Atlas BT65 needs no separate mount, because the two-screw MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny clamp is supplied already fitted; the rifle simply needs a Picatinny rail section for it to bolt onto.

Does the Atlas BT65 clamp directly to a Picatinny rail, or does it need an adapter?
The Atlas BT65 clamps directly to any MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail section; on an M-LOK handguard add the BT73 M-LOK Picatinny rail, and on a stock with only a sling stud use the BT81 Lil' Brandi sling stud to rail adapter.

What is the mounting hole pattern on the CAL series?
The CAL series uses a 1.100 inch (27.9 mm) two-hole pattern with 10/32 threads, which is the 17S size, so any 17S-size mount will bolt to it.

Which feet fit the Atlas BT65 CAL bipod?
It takes the V8, PSR and CAL pattern Atlas quick-change feet — BT32 standard rubber feet, BT23 quick-change ski feet and BT74 Raider stainless steel cleat feet — each sold as a pair and listed in our bipod accessories.

What is in the box?
The box contains one Atlas BT65 CAL bipod with the two-screw Picatinny mount already fitted.
