The Trijicon ACOG 2x20 Rifle Scope MOA Triangle Dual-Illuminated Red Reticle (SKU TA47-C-400342) is the compact ACOG with a red 9.2 MOA triangle etched into the prism, lit by fibre optics in daylight and a tritium lamp after dark with no battery of any kind. Fixed 2x magnification, a 20 mm objective and a Q-LOC quick-release mount in the box.
How It Compares
The triangle is the fastest of the 2x20 aiming points: the apex is the aiming mark and the wide base gives the eye something to catch at speed, which suits close work better than a fine cross. It carries no bullet drop compensation, so it is not tied to a cartridge — for holds cut to a .223 carbine see the ACOG 2x20 RTR .223 Red, and for a pistol-calibre carbine the ACOG 2x20 RTR 9mm PCC. If you would rather have a plain cross than a triangle, the red crosshair and the green crosshair are the same optic with a different etch. Browse all rifle scopes, the Trijicon ACOG rifle scopes range or the full Trijicon optics range.
Ideal For
- Close-quarters carbine work where 2x is enough magnification and speed matters most
- Shooters who want a bold aiming point rather than a fine crosshair
- Builds that need the optic off and back on again without losing zero, using the Q-LOC mount

Frequently Asked Questions
Does it need batteries?
No — the reticle is lit by fibre optics in daylight and tritium in the dark. There is nothing to switch on and nothing to run flat.
What calibre is the reticle calibrated for?
None — the 9.2 MOA triangle has no bullet drop compensation, so it is not tied to a cartridge.
How big is the triangle?
9.2 MOA across the base, which is roughly 9.2 in at 100 yards (26 cm at 100 m). The apex is the aiming point.
Does it come with a mount?
Yes — a Trijicon Q-LOC Technology quick-release Picatinny mount, which is removable rather than integrated.
Can I shoot with both eyes open?
Yes — the ACOG is designed around the Bindon Aiming Concept for both-eyes-open shooting at speed.
What warranty does it carry?
Trijicon's Limited Lifetime Warranty. The tritium lamp carries its own multi-year term from date of manufacture.
Is this a genuine Trijicon product?
Yes — factory-new, genuine Trijicon, covered by Trijicon's Limited Lifetime Warranty.
