How It Compares
The horseshoe is the difference here: where the chevron gives a fine point of aim, the horseshoe is a shape the eye finds faster, which takes some of the sting out of a fixed 6x optic at closer range. The red chevron and the green chevron are the finer-aiming-point versions of the same 6x48, the red chevron with a factory-fitted RMR solves the close-range problem with a separate red dot instead, and the green M240 horseshoe dot is cut for the machine gun.
