Description

The Primary Arms SLx 1X MicroPrismT Scope with the ACSS Gemini 9mm reticle (part number 710083, SKU PA-SLX-1XMP-H-9MM) is a 1x unmagnified prism scope with a glass-etched ACSS Gemini 9mm reticle in red, built on the H1/T1 micro-dot footprint and supplied with a 2.26 in mount. It is 2.48 in (63 mm) long, weighs 5.5 oz (156 g), adjusts in 1 MOA clicks with 120 MOA of total travel, gives a 76.5 ft field of view at 100 yards (25.5 m at 100 m), and is sealed to IP67.

The ACSS Gemini 9mm is the reason to choose this variant: it is calibrated specifically for 9mm from barrels of 7.5 to 16 inches (191 to 406 mm), with bullet drop references out to 200 yards, ranging, moving-target leads and a bold outer horseshoe around a precise centre chevron. That is a genuinely different reticle from a rifle-calibre ACSS — 9mm drops far more sharply, and a 5.56 holdover ladder is simply wrong on a pistol-calibre carbine.

As with the rest of the MicroPrism line, the reticle is etched into the glass rather than projected as an LED, so shooters with astigmatism see it sharply instead of as a smear, and it stays usable with the illumination off.

How It Compares

This is the 9mm-specific red version. The same optic is offered with the green ACSS Gemini 9mm reticle. For a general-purpose reticle instead, see the SLx 1X MicroPrismT with the ACSS Cyclops Gen II reticle or the simpler T-Dot reticle version. For a rifle-calibre ballistic reticle with magnification, the SLx 3X MicroPrism with the ACSS Raptor 5.56/.308 Yard reticle covers 5.56 and .308. Browse the Primary Arms prism scope range and all prism scopes, and read our guides to how prism scopes work and astigmatism and red dot sights.

Ideal For

  • 9mm pistol-calibre carbines with barrels between 7.5 and 16 inches
  • Shooters with astigmatism who see red dots as a smear, flare or double image
  • Airsoft replicas and training carbines using the widely available H1 and T1 mounts
  • Close and medium range shooting where 9mm drop matters past 100 yards

Key Features

  • Magnification: 1x unmagnified prism
  • Reticle: ACSS Gemini 9mm, etched into the glass, calibrated for 9mm from 7.5 to 16 in (191–406 mm) barrels
  • Holdovers: Bullet drop references out to 200 yards, plus ranging and moving-target leads
  • Aiming point: Precise centre chevron inside a bold outer horseshoe for fast close-range pickup
  • Astigmatism: The etched reticle is resolved through the optic's own focusing system, so it stays sharp for eyes that see LED red dots as a smear
  • Footprint: H1/T1 micro-dot pattern, with a 2.26 in mount included
  • Illumination: Red, 13 settings of which 3 are night-vision compatible, with AutoLive motion sensing
  • Turrets: 1 MOA per click, 120 MOA of total travel
  • Sealing: IP67 rated and nitrogen-purged against fogging

Frequently Asked Questions

Which calibre is the ACSS Gemini reticle calibrated for?
The ACSS Gemini reticle in this optic is calibrated for 9mm, specifically for barrels between 7.5 and 16 inches, with bullet drop references extending to 200 yards.

What does the ACSS Gemini 9mm reticle actually do?
The ACSS Gemini 9mm places a precise centre chevron inside a bold outer horseshoe for fast pickup at close range, and adds bullet drop references to 200 yards, ranging features for estimating distance, and moving-target leads.

Does a prism scope help with astigmatism?
Yes, for many shooters it does. A prism scope's reticle is etched into the glass and viewed through the optic's own focusing system, so it is resolved by the same corrected optical path as the target, whereas a red dot projects an LED that an astigmatic eye commonly sees as a smear, flare or double image.

Can I use this optic on a 5.56 rifle?
You can fit it, but the holdover marks would be wrong, because the ACSS Gemini reticle is calibrated for the much steeper trajectory of 9mm. For 5.56 and .308, choose an optic with the ACSS Raptor reticle instead.

What mount does this optic need?
It uses the H1/T1 micro-dot footprint, so it fits the wide range of mounts made for micro red dot sights, and a 2.26 in mount is supplied in the box.

Does the reticle work if the battery dies?
Yes. The ACSS Gemini 9mm reticle is etched into the glass rather than projected, so it remains fully visible and usable with the illumination switched off or the battery flat.
