Understanding Holosun model numbers
Once you know the pattern, the names make sense:
- HS vs HE prefix: HS = standard (usually red); HE = elite, often with a green emitter or upgraded glass. “GR” in the code means green dot.
- 500-series: pistol-size optics (e.g. 507C, 407C, 507K, 407K).
- C vs K: “C” models use the larger RMR-pattern footprint (full-size); “K” models are smaller, on the RMSc footprint for carry.
- EPS / SCS / AEMS / ARO: enclosed and specialist models (see below).
- X2 / X3: the generation of the optic.
